Activities
- Have a station where guests can write their well wishes and/or marriage advice (“Before you embark…”) and drop it in an open vintage suitcase.
- Instead of leaving notes in the suitcase, you could have a “marriage passport” (make it look like a real passport) for the bride and have all the guests write notes on the pages.
- Find out how to say “I love you” in several languages and see if the guests can guess each one!
Other Details
- Make the invitations look like tickets or boarding passes.
- Create mini suitcases out of cardboard boxes or other material and fill them with party favor goodies. Put them on a table with a sign labeled “baggage claim.”
Invitations. What a darling way to inform your guests with the party date, time and place. Source: A+P Designs

Love all these travel ideas, made stationery or decor with old maps, boarding pass invitations…the lot. We have also tried map table numbers with a destination name for each table rather than a number…looking fabulous.
I’m in love with this idea. Sound so me. I love simply every idea you have here. It’s perfect!
Hello, where did you find the “cardboard” map paper you used in the travel themed bridal shower hearts please?
I’m not positive but I’m sure you could find similar prints at Hobby Lobby.
Hi, I’m really struggling. I would love to do the map bags with candles for a baby shower I’m hosting however, I don’t know where to get these things. I would also like to do the baggage claim for the favors but I don’t know what to use for the luggage. Do I actually have to buy mini luggage? I need assistance please help.
Thank you
I would look around online. I found some really cute ones on Etsy in the Path Less Traveled Shop. As for luggage, you could find containers that look like luggage at the craft store and decorate them as you’d like. I have some cute ones from Land of Nod that I have used in my girls room for decoration. Good Luck!
