I was in charge of planning and creating outdoor games and activities for our extended family reunion of 125+ people. The reunion was a western themed gathering, so I tried to create games with a western flare. Most of these games and activities were created by me with a little help from family members. They are easy to construct and done on a dime. Most of them are games that can be used over and over again. These games were a lot of fun for the whole family, but I did learn that the kids like the games much better when there was a prize at the end of the game. If hosting a carnival or family party, I would definitely suggest handing out small pieces of candy or prizes.
My husbands family is in-charge of planning and hosting our extended annual family reunion this year. All the relatives look forward to this event as many live all over the US. We’ve even been trying to find more long distance family members we’re unaware of by using carrying out a people search, we’re having great success so far and have actually invited a few more to come along this year. We can’t wait to meet them! As the designated party planner, I have been asked to come up with a theme, food and game ideas. This is a big challenge as there are a few hundred people who attend this event. Incase you are responsible for helping plan and celebrate your family reunion or even just a large family party, here are some fantastic ideas.
