Sophia the First Party

Princess Sophia PartyPrincess Sophia is the newest little Princess on Disney Junior.  Any little girl would love to celebrate their birthday with Princess Sophia as their mascot.  Here are some great ideas to help you plan the perfect princess party.

Hostess with Mostess featured a party that was elegant and full of Princess activities.  Every little girl love to get her nails painted, so have a beauty salon station and let girls pick out a color to be painted on their nails by an adult.  I would recommend purchasing the quick dry top coat at your local beauty store so that you’re not fixing smudged nails the whole time.

Findin NemoNemo is the cutest and most popular fishy around.  There are so many fun “under the sea” ideas to make your party a beach blast.  Here are some ideas to help you throw that perfect party!

On Buckeye Barry’s Blog, they threw a party for their daughter that had a great food table display.  I love the shark watermelon and the little “jelly fish” sandwiches.  They also made an octopus out of a red pepper.

Monsters University Party

March 20, 2014 by Paige Leave a Comment

Monsters University 2Monsters University was a huge hit and deserves a party. Here are some ideas to help you have the scariest and coolest birthday bash. Of course, Monsters University was the sequel to Monsters inc, which was a huge success around the world. After seeing the success of the first movie, the Pixar producers decided to create a long-awaited sequel. This sequel does focus on Mike and Sulley’s time at university, where they first meet and become friends whilst competing in a competition.

When the sequel was released in 2013, it was met with a great reception from Pixar fans and those around the world who had been waiting to see more from their favorite on-screen duo. The second installment of this story didn’t disappoint, and many fans claimed to love the movie. Of course, it was going to be difficult to top the success that Monsters Inc had, but a lot of people did enjoy the second movie.

However, a lot of people do still prefer the duo in the first movie. This is normally the case with Pixar movies. People are so familiar with the original tale of the movie, so they just seem to prefer it. Pixar is known to leave quite large gaps between their first movie and the sequel which can add significant amounts of pressure onto the creators. In some cases, the sequels are better than the first ones. However, for the most part, people do prefer the original movies. To see if either of these movies were ranked in a list of America’s favorite Pixar movies, it might be worth visiting a website like infinitydish.com (there’s additional information here if anyone is interested). Perhaps then, people can see if these films were able to compete with all of Pixar’s other acclaimed movies.

Anyway, it’s not always about the statistics. For most of us, we loved Monsters University. So it’s important that we celebrate it. If you’re thinking of having a party based around this movie, here are some ideas to help you have the scariest and coolest birthday bash!
