Activities.

  • Play “Monkey in the Middle”: Have the players form a circle, arm-length away from each other. One player goes in the middle—he or she is the monkey in the middle. The players in the circle pass a ball to each other and the monkey in the middle tries to catch it. Once he or she does catch it, the person who threw the ball last is the new monkey in the middle. • Play “George Says”—use the same rules as “Simon Says” but say George instead and do monkey things like pretend to eat a banana, make monkey sounds, etc. (Game courtesy of pbs.org)
  • Print coloring pages from PBS for the kids to color and design.
