Service. One way to truly feel the Christmas Spirit is to serve others. Wether you choose to sponsor a family for “Sub for Santa” or do the “Twelve Days of Christmas” involve the whole family for an experience they will never forget. Growing up my family always picked a family for Sub for Santa. My parents would let us each of us kids pick out the toys and items for one of the family members. We all remember dropping off the presents, running back to the car and watching the people gather the gifts from the porch with smiles on their faces.
Letting someone know you care doesn’t have to cost a dime if you don’t want it to. I went to call my 10 year old son inside after playing outside during the holiday break. He showed me a snowman family he had built for our neighbors with a message made out of snowballs which said “we love you.” I asked him why he did it and he said “he wanted to spread the Christmas Spirit.” Photo Source: Deseret News
