Candyland was one of my favorite games growing up, and it makes me happy to say that it seems to have kept its popularity. I saw the idea on a blog to do a Candyland-themed kid’s birthday party, and I decided to take it a step further—invite your guests to play a life-size game of Candyland! Here are the details:
The board consists of large squares colored red, green, blue, yellow, orange and purple. You’ll need a large area to set up the life-size board—a large room with hardwood floors or an outdoor cement patio. You could make it as long as the real board or a shorter version. Use butcher paper to create the spaces. Use the normal game cards for determining how far each player goes on their turn.
